Full-Service Grooming
Full-Service Grooming
Our professional stylists will work on your pet to get them clean and looking and feeling their best!
- At our spa we work with one dog at a time meaning we start your pet's pampering at drop-off continuously through to completion. This limits their time in the spa and reduces or avoids kennel time while with us. We shower them with lots of TLC but know that their favorite place is back at home with you.
- We never cage dry. All dogs are dried with a hand held dryer or towel dried.
- Full service Bath and Groom (bath and full body haircut) are offered.
- Please see the full set of grooming policies below.
Grooming Policies
Thank you for trusting Suds Pet Bathhouse and Spa for your pet’s care. Please be aware of the following policies for grooming services:
Reservations:
A credit card number is required for all full-service bath and grooming appointments. Payment is not due until your pet is finished and collected at check out. The same card can be billed for convenience or you can choose an alternative payment method.
Cancellations:
Appointments must be cancelled 24 hours in advance to avoid being charged the full price of the service. If you are more than 10 minutes late for an appointment, this is considered a no-show and you may be charged the full amount for the service that was scheduled. If you are running late, please text or call the spa and see if something can be worked out.
Vaccinations:
We require all dogs to be current on their Rabies vaccination and strongly recommend that they be up to date on DHPP, Lepto, Bordatella, and Lyme. Please have your vet email us a copy of the records, bring a copy when you drop off for grooming services, or upload the records to your client profile. Alternatively, you can provide us your vet’s information at the time you book the appointment and we are happy to call to verify that your dog is up to date on the Rabies vaccination. For the comfort of your pet, we suggest that at least 24 hours pass between receiving a vaccination and grooming service.
Price of groom:
At check-in we provide an estimate for the groom based on size of dog, coat condition, type of cut (if applicable) and temperament. Once our groomers start working on your dog, we might notice things that could incur an extra charge. We will always call you if the additional charges exceed 10% of the original estimate for approval to continue.
Incomplete groom:
We always do our best to make the experience as positive for our clients as possible. If a dog becomes too aggressive or too stressed, we will stop the groom and charge for services up to that point. Safety of pets and our staff is always the highest priority.
If there is a known issue with your dog, you have concerns, or a previous incident at another groomer please communicate openly with us so that we can develop a plan for success together. Grooming is essential to pet health and wellness so we want to be able to accommodate your pet.
Drop-off/Pick-up:
All full-service grooming is EXPRESS meaning that we start your dog at drop off and continue to work on them until they are finished which greatly limits their time in the spa and in a kennel. Because of our EXPRESS service for all grooms and limited kennel space we appreciate your understanding and compliance with the following:
•Pets cannot be dropped off earlier than 10 minutes before their appointment.
•At check-in we’ll give you an estimate on how long the service will be and we will contact you when your pet is ready to go home. All dogs must be picked up within 30 minutes after we notify you that your dog is completed with grooming. If you are unable to pick up your dog within that time you will be charged a $20 boarding fee.
Fleas:
We expect all pets to be on a flea management program. If you have a specific issue with fleas, please call us in advance to add flea and tick service. If we find fleas on your pet during service, you will be charged $20 for a flea treatment in the spa.
Re-Bathing:
Please ensure your pet has had a potty break right before drop-off at the spa. Complimentary waste bags are outside at the store front and at reception. If your pet soils themselves after the grooming is completed a second bath/dry/ brush out will be performed and you will be charged the full amount for the additional bathing service.
Mat Removal:
Pets with matted coats need extra attention during their grooming session. A “Dematting Fee” will apply to all matted pets. Mats left in a pet’s coat only grow tighter, and can strangle the pet's skin, or eventually tear it open. Mats can be very difficult to remove and may require the pet to be shaved. We will contact you if shaving is necessary. Removing a heavily matted coat includes risks of nicks, cuts or abrasions due to warts, moles or skin folds trapped in the mats. After effects of mat removal procedures can include itchiness, skin redness, self-inflicted irritations or abrasions and failure of the hair to re-grow. Suds Pet Bathhouse and Spa will not be responsible for veterinary care following mat removal. The best prevention is to keep your pet regularly groomed to avoid matting.
Health or Medical Problems & Senior Pets:
Grooming procedures can sometimes be stressful, especially for a senior pet or pet with health problems, and can expose hidden medical problems or aggravate a current one during or after the groom. Because senior pets and pets with health problems have a greater chance of injury, these pets will be groomed for cleanliness and comfort, in styles that will not add to their stress. In the best interest of your pet, this agreement will give Suds Pet Bathhouse and Spa permission to obtain immediate Veterinary treatment for your pet should it be deemed necessary by Suds Pet Bathhouse and Spa. We will do our best to contact you first, then take your pet to your authorized Veterinarian or to the nearest Veterinarian that is available. It is agreed that all expenses for Veterinary care will be covered by the pet's owner upon signing this agreement.
